Oculis Labs partners with HETRA Secure Solutions

Oculis Labs and HETRA Secure Solutions bring together their unique technologies designed to protectect information in any environment where protection for classified and other critical information is needed.

OWINGS MILLS, MD, June 10, 2009 /Security PR News/ -- Oculis Labs, a leading innovator in data-in-use security and HETRA Secure Solutions, a global provider of TEMPEST, Rugged, Mobile, and build-to-order data protection technology solutions, today announced a new strategic technology, sales and marketing relationship to address the growing concern for privacy and the need for protecting displayed data-in-use. Bringing together their unique technologies and capabilities for secure data protection, the two companies will develop and market data security solutions designed to protect information in any environment where protection for classified and other critical information is needed.

Under the agreement, HETRA has added two new products based on Oculis Labs' pioneering technology to its product portfolio. The new products, in easy-to-use software applications, provide organizations and individuals with the ability to automatically protect data in use on laptops, desktops and mobile devices such as PDAs without the need to rely on users to take additional actions to prevent against active and intentional visual eavesdropping.

New products being announced are:
• Chameleon, a high security product for classified and sensitive government use, and
• PrivateEye, a privacy product for enterprise and individual users.

Combined with HETRA's existing TEMPEST and rugged hardware products the two new products provide a comprehensive suite for mitigating the risk of data loss and disclosure.

"Oculis Labs' solution for protecting information against visual eavesdropping is an important new capability in the mission to protect classified information." said Dr. Bill Anderson, CEO of Oculis Labs. "By partnering with HETRA, which is known for its leadership in the TEMPEST and data protection industries, we are delivering more effective and complete security solutions to our customers."

"With all the worry about crime in cyberspace and tight physical security in the aftermath of 911 and ongoing terrorist attacks, businesses and Government Agencies may sometimes forget that there are plenty of other opportunities for private information to be secretly obtained and misused." said Michael Adamcheck, President, HETRA Secure Solutions. She added, "HETRA classifies the threat from optical eavesdropping to range from simple visual intrusion into office or sensitive areas up to the deployment of more sophisticated technologies." "We look forward to a close working relationship with Oculis Labs and leveraging our combined strengths to bring effective new products to market in order to help customers reduce the risk to their sensitive and classified data - after all she said, we secure the world's data."

Chameleon and PrivateEye products are available now. These new products are licensed, serviced and supported worldwide by HETRA and authorized Resellers.
