Comtrol introduces an industrial managed PoE Plus switch
Comtrol Europe today introduced its new managed PoE Plus switch as the latest addition to the RocketLinx family of industrial switches.
BICESTER, UK, April 30, 2010 /Security PR News/ -- Comtrol Europe today introduced its new managed PoE Plus switch as the latest addition to the RocketLinx family of industrial switches. It is designed for IP cameras, wireless access points, where a local power source is not readily available. There are four Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports delivering up to 30 watts each and the unit supports the new IEEE802.3at standard. The RocketLinx ES7506 switch has intelligent PoE control and schedule management capabilities.
The remote control and management of PoE applications provided by The RocketLinx ES7506 switch reduces the need for service calls and unscheduled system downtime. The ports on the PoE Plus switch can be easily configured via SNMP, web interface or the included RocketLinx NetVision management software. In the same way a device that has failed can be rebooted as well as a Green power scheduling can be implemented. The two uplink ports support redundant ring network topologies meaning that network failure recovery is almost unnoticeable at less than five milliseconds.
